Thanks for taking a look at the webpage. Here you will be able to read the comment that I wanted to leave at Sell.com
but couldn't because of a 250 word limit. Please keep in mind as you read this that I have no reason to lie. If
you asked me I would show you every note that I sent to this seller, and every note he sent me. I have nothing
to hide. I am only stating the facts.
When I found Sell.com I looked at many sellers that were offering a modded XBOX. After a lot of reading
and looking through the 109 comments that Trancelogy3 had. I decided that I would buy my new XBOX from him. I made
the seller an offer for a soft moded XBOX with a 250gb hard drive. The offer was for $300.00 total. That included the
system and shipping.
The seller accepted my offer. But then told me that if I was going to be paying through Paypal, which I was. That
I would have to include an extra $8.00 to my total. I understood what the extra $8.00 was all about.
I have been accepting payments through Paypal for 5 years. This is the same fee that Papyal charges all it sellers,
and Credit Card companies charge any store like Wal-Mart or Target whenever someone pays for something with a credit
card. I have never charged one of my buyers this fee, nor I have never been told at Wal-Mart or Target, that my
total is $23.45 plus a $2.00 fee for using a credit card.
So now with this fee added on my total is $308.00.
I paid for the XBOX and about 5 days later it arrived in a horribly damaged box, the box was crushed, ripped, and dented,
not to mention opened on one end.
I am not blaming the seller for this, I knew what to expect when he said he was going to ship it UPS, they are horrible
at handling packages.
After about 10 minutes of removing pieces of packing peanuts from every nook and cranny of the XBOX.
I hooked it up. It worked fine, and I was very happy. It was everything I had hoped it would be. But then less then 24
hours it stopped working.
All it did was flash a loading screen. I contacted the seller, and was told that the dashboard had somehow become
corrupted. But the real surprise was when the seller told me I would have to pay to ship the XBOX back to him.
I couldn't believe that I had to pay to ship this non-working XBOX that I had less than a day. Back to the seller
so he could make it work like it was supposed too.
So now with what I paid for retrun shipping my total was up $326.00, even through the seller agreed to my offer of $300.00
total shipping included.
Call my crazy but I thought that since the seller sent me a faulty XBOX, and since he offers a 90 day
warranty, that the seller would take care of the return shipping costs and the shipping cost to send the fixed XBOX
back to me. I mean that is why you have a warranty in the first place.
A warranty means the customer is covered, that everything is taken care of. It means that the customer doesn't
have to keep paying extra costs once the product has been paid for.
This is what his 90 day warranty says.
"This xbox is fully tested and guaranteed to work with a 90 day warranty on the system and a 1 year warranty on the HD.
I have modded hundreds of xboxes, and know everything about them. I also give 100% customer support."
The seller said he would ship the XBOX back on Monday January 30th. That didn't happen. I know that I
don't own the world, Bill Gates does. And I know that the earth, moon and stars don't revolve around me. But I am a customer
that sent over $300.00, to this seller and when someone gives me their word.
I think that, they should stick to what they say. I know that people get busy, and that he has a life, and there might
be a good reason as to why he didn't ship my XBOX back to me until Wednesday February 1st.
If the seller did have a good reason he didn't contact me and explain what it was. I was the one doing the e-mailing
to find out what the deal was. Also I waited 5 days for the XBOX to arrive the first time. It worked for less than 1
day.
I sent the XBOX back which took 5 days, the seller then had it for 6 days before he shipped it back to me. On top
of those 16 days, I now have to wait until February 7th before I have my XBOX back. I know that the seller doesn't control
how long it UPS takes to ship stuff. And I guess we could take off the first 5 days that I waited. But that still
equals 17 days I have been waiting on my XBOX.
This seller has lots good comments, you can go and read through them just like I did. After you do this I think you
will see why I picked Trancelogy3. The product, when it worked, was great but there are areas that the seller needs to
work on. I don’t care what kind of comment the seller leaves for me after reading this. I won’t be using Sell.com
again.
All I am guilty of in this transaction. is asking a bunch of questions, paying the extra $8.00 Paypal fee, and
then paying for return shipping I feel shouldn't have had to pay.
Like I said I did ask a lot of questions. I don't know about you but I don't think that $300.00 is chump change. I asked
those questions because I wanted to make sure what I was paying for was worth $300.00. I mean I could buy a XBOX 360
for $400.00. But that is not what I wanted. I wanted to have a system that I could play all the classic games
I grew up with, and XBOX games too.
I did get my XBOX at 2:00pm on February 7th. It works fine, and I am really happy. The seller even put Ultimate
Spiderman on my hard drive for me just like I asked. I love the XBOX and have been playing it like crazy.
But I would have to say that the overall grade for this seller would be would somewhere around a B+
*Final Note:*
Remember I am a seller on EBAY, so I am not just being some jerk, mean person that doesn't understand what it is like
to sell a product and be a business person. Because I do understand. I looked at both sides of the fence here. I am
not putting this seller down, or anything like that. I am simply stating facts.
Am I saying that you shouldn't buy an XBOX from this seller. Heck no, that is not what I am saying. If a modded
XBOX with roms, a bigger hard drive, and kewl little book explaining everything is what you are in the market for.
Then Tranceology3 is your seller.
But I just thought I would let you know what might happen if something is wrong with your XBOX when you get it.
The point I am making here is simple, the system is and will forever be worth the money I paid for it. But the
customer service/warranty side of this transaction could have been better.
Thanks for reading what I had to say and have a great day.
